Erich Drach is one of the most important fouders of Speech Science and Speech Training in the first half of the 20th century. He published works such as Sprecherziehung. Zur Pflege des gesprochenen Wortes in der Schule (1922), Die redenden Künste (1926), or Grundgedanken der deutschen Satzlehre (1937). His scientific value and his relationship to National Socialism are controversially debated.
