Qader Saleem Shammo, Dr., specializes in Modern History, Politics, and Minority Issues, with a particular focus on Yezidi Studies. He has worked at University of Duhok (Iraq), LMU Munich and Leipzig University (Germany), where he co-founded the Yezidi Studies Center. His research is dedicated to Yezidi history, identity, and heritage, as well as to their persecution, particularly during the genocide perpetrated by the ISIS. The author’s publications and his active participation in international conferences aim to advance the interdisciplinary Yezidi Studies.
