Ulla Fix is a professor emerita of Contemporary German Language at Leipzig University. Her research areas include text linguistics, stylistics, semiotics, relations between linguistics and literary studies, linguistic culture, language in politics (with a focus on the GDR), language and religion, history of science, and, most recently, styles of thought in linguistics.
