Hajo G. Meyer (1924–2014) fled to Holland in 1939 and lived underground for a year. In 1944 he was deported to Auschwitz. He survived there for ten months. After the war, he studied Theoretical Physics and, following his doctorate, worked in the research department at Philips, which he later also headed. In 1984 Hajo G. Meyer retired and from then on worked as a violin maker. Since 2002, the book Das Ende des Judentums (The End of Judaism) and numerous essays and articles have been published by him.
