Ahmed Ibrahim Abdallah Mohmmed was born in Alraggas-Kordofan (Sudan). He teaches at the University of Khartum's Department of Translation Sciences, Philology and DaF/DaZ (German as a First/Second Language). His work and research focusses on literary translation, translation criticism, translation as intercultural communication, perceptive translatology, didactics of DaF/DaZ, as well as testing and assessment. In 2022, he was awarded the Leipzig university's DAAD prize for outstanding achievements by foreign students.
