Albrecht Beutel is a Protestant theologian and professor of Church History at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster. His research focusses on the Reformation, Martin Luther, the history of the church and theology of the 20th century as well as the theological enlightenment, and the study of the neologist Johann Joachim Spalding.
