Andreas Latzko

Andreas Latzko (1876–1943), the son of an upper-middle-class Budapest family, became outraged at social ills at an early age and became a militant pacifist. The Austro-Hungarian author became famous far beyond the borders of Austria with his anti-war book Menschen im Krieg (People in Times of War), published in 1917 and once considered the most important pacifist work in the German language.
