Anneke Klara Pogarell studied Speech Science and Phonetics (BA) at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. She later completed the Japan Double Master's Programme in Intercultural Studies and Japanese Language (MA) in Halle and at Keiō University, Tokyo while holding a scholarship of Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (German National Academic Foundation) and Haniel-Stiftung (Haniel Foundation). Since her doctorate in Speech Science and Phonetics in 2024, she is a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group.
