Beata A. Bieniek studied German and Romance Philology and Slavonic Studies in Freiburg im Breisgau. Her Ph.D. was awarded by the University in Mainz. Her research focusses on female identity. She works as an artist and teaches German as a foreign language at the University of Bern (Switzerland).
