Beatrice Sandberg studied German and English literature in Zurich. Since 1984 she is a professor of German literature at the Institute of German Studies / Institute of Foreign Languages at the University of Bergen. She has published on Swiss literature, she works on the German novel and Franz Kafka, and on autobiographical writing in contemporary German-language literature.
