Cristina Spinei studied German, English and European Studies in Iaşi, Vienna and Regensburg. She received her Ph.D. and is currently working at the Department of German Studies, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University Iaşi. Research interests: 20th century literature, contemporary fiction, representation of the Holocaust in German-language literature, interrelations between literature and politics, and autobiographical writing.
