Dieter Cherubim studied Classical Philology and German Philology in Munich and Marburg. He was a professor at the Department for German Philology in Göttingen. His research focusses on theory of linguistic change, linguistic history of the modern era, error linguistics, grammaticography in Antiquity and the early modern era, interlocutory research and historiscal pragmatics.
