Dörte Lütvogt, Dr. studied Slavic studies and economics in Göttingen and Krakow; she received her doctorate in Mainz in 2003. Her study on Szymborska's engagement with time was written as part of a research project funded by the Fritz Thyssen Foundation. Since then, she has worked in cultural administration, as a textbook editor, and as a lecturer at universities in China, Laos, and Vietnam.
