Dolors Sabaté Planes studied German Philology in Barcelona. She has written numerous essays on women's literature (including Else Lasker-Schüler, Ilse Aichinger, Christa Wolf, Rose Ausländer) and is the director of a research project on German-Jewish women writers. She works as a literary scholar at the University of Santiago de Compostela.
