Elisabeth Stadlinger studied Russian and Italian Studies at the University of Vienna, where she received her Ph.D. in 2017. In addition to publications on the "Silver Age" of Russian culture, with a focus on poetry and theater, she expanded her research spectrum to include themes of Mediterranean literature and female writing in the 18th century.
