Florian Krobb is a prof. em. of German at National University of Ireland, Maynooth, as well as an extraordinary professor at the University of Stellenbosch, (South Africa). He edited the yearbook Austrian Studies from 2010 to 2017. He also is the author of several books on German literature set in 19th and early 20th century Africa regarding travel, youth and adventure.
