Gábor Demeter is a senior researcher at Eötvös Loránd Research Centre, Institute of Excellence of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in History and Earth Sciences and works on the social, economic, and diplomatic history of Austria-Hungary and the Balkan Peninsula in the 19th century.
