Günter Rinke, Dr. phil., has studied German, History, and Education in Hamburg where he subsequently taught at a secondary school (Gymnasium). In 2000, he also completed his PhD there. After 2003, he worked as a lecturer and seconded teacher (abgeordnete Lehrkraft); from 2010 to 2019, he was a lecturer in Literature and Media Studies and their Didactics at Europa-Universität Flensburg. His research focusses on the literature during the Weimar Republic, on literature and media after 1945, and also on audio media.
