Hans-Joachim Maaz, Dr. med., is a psychoanalyst, psychotherapist and psychiatrist. He heads the Stiftung Beziehungskultur (Foundation for Relationship Culture). He has become known, among other things, for his bestsellers Der Gefühlsstau (The Emotional Jam) and Das gespaltene Land (The Split Country). The topic of anxiety and society has preoccupied him for years. He analyzed the escalation of the situation in the Corona crisis early on in his book Corona – Angst (Corona - Fear).
