Heike Christina Mätzing, Dr., is a historian and history educator. She worked as a research assistant at TU Braunschweig until 2024. She has been studying the life and work of Georg Eckert for over ten years and published his biography in 2018. She lives in St. Augustin and Braunschweig, where she runs "Maedo – das Historikercontor" (www.historikercontor.de).
