Heinrich Stiehler (* 1948, † 2023) was an associate university professor of Literature and Media Studies at the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at the University of Vienna until 2012; he has been vice president of the Association Les Amis de Panaït Istrati, based in Lyon. More recently, he taught in the field of Romanian and French.
