Helmut Grugger has been working as a German scholar at Mary Immaculate College in Limerick, Western Ireland, since 2012. He published monographs on the playwrights Heinrich von Kleist and Werner Schwab and the in-depth literary-historical study Trauma – Literatur – Moderne (2018). His most important editions include the double volume Der Generationenroman (2021) and the comprehensive compendium Der Campusroman. Texte – Theorien – Traditionen (2025).
