Helmut Trotnow is a historian and was founding director of the Allied Museum in Berlin. He studied English and History at the Universities of Kiel and Stuttgart and earned his doctorate in International History at the London School of Economics and Political Science. The University of London awarded him the title Doctor of Philosophy in 1980.
