Jean-Luc Gerrer is an emeritus lecturer (Maître de conférences) at the Centre de recherches TIL (Text, Image, Language, UR 4182) of Université de Bourgogne Europe. He also taught German Philology there. His research focusses on the former East German provinces, Brecht and the Berlin salons between the Enlightenment and the Restoration.
