Joachim Kremer, Prof. Dr., studied School Music and Music Education with flute as main instrument at the University of Music Lübeck. After several years as a music teacher, he studied Musicology, Art History and Philosophy at Christian Albrechts University in Kiel. He received his doctorate with a thesis on the Protestant cantorate in the 18th century. Since 2001 he has been a professor of Musicology at the HfMuDK Stuttgart.
