K. Erik Franzen, Dr., is a staff member of the Collegium Carolinum and works as scientific secretary of the German-Czech and German-Slovak Historical Commission in Munich. As a migration historian, his research focusses on the history of German expellees in the 20th century, local historical cultures in Central Europe, and victim discourses in the FRG and the GDR.
