Kai Hafez, Prof. Dr. phil. habil., is a professor of Communication Studies with focus on comparison of media systems / communication cultures at the University of Erfurt. He was a staff member of the German Orient Institute, Hamburg, and a visiting professor in Oxford, Cairo, and Bern.
