Katarzyna Lukas studied German language and literature at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, where she received her Ph.D. in 2006. Since 2008, she has been a research assistant at the Institute of German Language and Literature at the University of Gdańsk. At the same time she works as a translator and interpreter. Her research areas are translation theory, German, Polish and comparative literature.
