Katharine S. Willis is a professor of Smart Cities and Communities at the School of Art, Design and Architecture at the University of Plymouth. Her research expertise includes smart cities, smart villages, digital technologies and the role of space and place. She studied Architecture at the University of Manchester and at Bartlett School of Architecture. Her Ph.D. was awarded to her by Bauhaus University of Weimar (Germany). She worked at the Universities of Bremen and Siegen.
