Kurt Reumann, Dr., 1934–2023, studied Journalism, German Philology, Art History and History at Freie Universität Berlin, where he completed his doctorate under the journalism scholar Emil Dovifat. He was a research assistant to Elisabeth Noelle at the Institute for Public Opinion Research in Allensbach and at the University of Mainz. At the invitation of Erich Welter, he moved to the political editorial department of the newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Fascinated by journalism, he turned down several calls to universities.
