Laura Colini holds a Ph.D. in Urban and Territorial Studies from the University of Florence (Italy). She has done research on media and low-income communities at MIT Boston (USA) and a researcher at IRS, Leibniz Institute in Berlin (Germany), where she worked on peripheralisation with a focus on post-socialist German cities. Besides teaching, she works as an independent consultant on topics related to governance and social inequalities in EU urban policies. Her research interests focus on social-spatial inequalities, financialisation and housing.
