Lena F. Schraml studied Polish History, Culture, Literature, and Language in Regensburg, Łódź, Halle, and Kraków. She received her doctorate with a thesis on the importance of literature for the culture of memory in Poland and Iran. Schraml is the author of the travel guide 111 Places to See in Kraków.
