Ludger Udolph is a slavist. He studied Slavic and German Philology at the Universities of Cologne and Bonn. Since 1992 he was a university professor at the newly founded Chair of Slavic Studies / Literary Studies at Technische Universität Dresden. Since 2019 he is a professor emeritus.
