Matthias N. Lorenz studied Cultural Studies in Leipzig and Lüneburg. In 2004, he received his Ph.D. In 2020, he was appointed Professor of Modern German Literary Studies and Comparative Literature at Leibniz University Hannover. His research focuses on contemporary and postwar literature, especially literary anti-Semitism after 1945, the politics of memory and historical discourse analysis of literature, and contemporary film.
