Michael Szurawitzki received his Ph.D. in 2005 on Germanic Philology, Habilitation in 2011 in the field of German Linguistics, Privatdozent for German Linguistics at the University of Regensburg; Substitute Professorships at the Universities of Joensuu (Finland), Siegen, Duisburg-Essen and at LMU Munich.
