Monika Katz studied Slavic studies and Eastern European history in Paris and Berlin. She worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Eastern European Studies at Freie Universität Berlin and was subsequently a DAAD Lektor in Russia for six years. Today, she is head of the International Office at HSD University of Applied Sciences in Dusseldorf.
