Nicole Auerbach-Kutscher studied at the Ruhr University in Bochum, where she also did her doctorate. She works in the Linguistics Department at the Institute of German Philology at the Ruhr University. Her research focusses f.e. on German grammar as well as textual and discourse linguistics.
