Otfrid Ehrismann, Univ.-Prof. Dr. phil. habil. i. R., is a professor emeritus of German and Older German Literature at Giessen University. He is the author of numerous studies, monographs and editions on the history of the German language and literature of the Middle Ages and was the editor of Sudetendeutsches Wörterbuch.
