Paata Turava studied Law at the State University in Tbilisi (Georgia), completed an LL.M. degree and received his doctorate from the University of Potsdam. Since 2002, he has been a research associate at the Institute of State and Law of Georgia. He is co-editor and author of textbooks and essays, especially on administrative law, which he also teaches. As an expert of the Society for Technical Cooperation he is active in German-Georgian projects. He is also a member of the Reform Commission at the Parliament of Georgia.
