Patricia Viallet, Dr., studied German Philology at Université Lumière Lyon 2. She received her doctorate in 1999. She lectures on Modern German Literature and German Language at Jean Monnet University in Saint-Étienne (France) and is a member of the IHRIM/Saint-Étienne research centre. Her research focusses on the literature and aesthetics of German Romanticism as well as on intermedial issues, particularly the references between text and image in Romantic and modern productions.
