Philippe Wellnitz, Dr. habil., studied German, Romance Philology and Political Science in Münster, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Basel. He is Maître de conférences at Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier III and currently serves as an university attaché at the French Embassy in Berlin. His research interests lie in theater and in Swiss literature and society from 1848 to the present.
