Phillip Helmke, M. A., is preparing his doctorate at Ruhr University Bochum, where he was a research assistant at the Institute of German Studies from 2020 to 2024. His research interests include the history and theory of the novella, the cultural history of the North Sea region and Kurt Tucholsky and Günter Grass.
