Ramona Jakobs studied Romance Philology (with a focus on Italian) and philosophy at the University of Cologne. After teaching and research stays in Italy and France, she has been a research assistant at the Chair of Romance, especially French and Italian Linguistics at the Ruhr University in Bochum since 2010. Her research focusses on pragmatics and language history.
