Rosemarie Killius, PhD, studied History and French and Spanish Philology in Madrid and Paris, among other places, and earned her doctorate in biographical research. She publishes on the period of National Socialism and the World Wars. Her commitment to Russia was honored with Germany's Federal Cross of Merit. An expert on film history from the 1930s to the 1950s, she is a freelancer at the Deutsches Filminstitut / Filmmuseum (DFF).
