Rumjana Zlatanova, Doz. habil. DSc. Dr., taught Bulgarian Philology, Slavic Linguistics, Balkan Studies, and Paleoslavic Studies at the universities of Sofia and Shumen, as well as in Saarbrücken, Marburg, and Heidelberg. She has received several awards for her publications.
