téphane Pesnel has been Maître de Conférences for Modern German Literary Studies at the Sorbonne Université in Paris since 1998. His work focusses on Austrian literature from the 19th to the 21st century. In addition to research and teaching, he is also active as a literary translator and as such has already translated works by Franz Kafka, Joseph Roth and Stefan Zweig into French.
