Tamara Caraus comes from the Republic of Moldova. She studied Philosophy and Philology at the University of Bucharest, where she obtained her doctorate in 2001. She carried out research projects at NEC Bucharest, the universities of Oxford, Uppsala, Groningen and Rijeka, at the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna and at the Polish Academy of Sciences. She is currently coordinating a research project at the Centre for Philosophy at the University of Lisbon. Her publications include Capcanele identității (Pitfalls of Identity) and Militant Cosmopolitics. Another World Horizon.
