Ulfried Weißer holds a degree in economics. He was a press officer for two chambers of industry and commerce and for Akademie der Führungskräfte der Wirtschaft (academy for business executives) in Bad Harzburg. He also worked for a social research institute in Cologne and for the Cuxhaven Port Association. He lives in Cuxhaven.
