Werner Mittelstaedt has been a leading figure in Critical Futurology since the late 1970s, with numerous publications and contributions on topics including qualitative growth, global megatrends, sustainability, the Anthropocene, as well as climate change, progress and future-oriented values. He is the founder and editor of the journal BLICKPUNKT ZUKUNFT (viewpoint: future; www.blickpunkt-zukunft.com) which has been published since 1981.
