Alina Chernova studied Eastern Slavonic and French Philology in Leipzig, Nancy and St. Petersburg. She received her Ph.D. in Russian Literature from the Institute of Slavonic Studies at Leipzig University. She teaches at universities in Germany and Russia. She works as a freelance lecturer, author and translator.
